The Royal Residences

The Royal Residences of Piedmont - Introduction

The Palaces and the Castles of the House of Savoy are now mostly museums that offer a peek into a glorious past of dukes and kings, art collectors and connoisseurs, sovereigns who enjoyed ballet, theatre plays and sumptuous ceremonies, in the midst of labyrinths and fountains on a par with Europe’s finest.

The Royal Residences are an extraordinary heritage of historical, artistic and environmental assets, that in 1997 were declared part of UNESCO's World Heritage.
